What is Catzen Coffee?
We are a specialty coffee shop where you can grab an expertly brewed espresso, cup of coffee, or tea.
We also offer quick bites to eat, such as local pastries and hand pies. We have additional seating in our Den, a separate cozy room where our Catzen Cats roam.
The cats are free to move between the Den and their basement living quarters, so you may see them or not, depending on their mood. You know how cats are.
We love our neighborhood, and we love to bring people together! Check our events calendar at the top of the page to see what upcoming classes, music or events we have going on.
Our Cat Den is a separate cozy room in the coffee shop where our Catzen Cats roam. Den time is by reservation, but walk-ins are accepted when space allows.

Catzen’s philosophy is to lift up our fellow small business owners, as well as our neighborhood. We offer an array of delicious pastries, sandwiches, and hand pies from local businesses, as well as a menu of empanadas with our own house-made sauce. Feeling snackish? We have popcorn, vegan treats, and cheesecake bites all from small businesses in our area. Pair your snack with one of our unique handcrafted drinks for a lift to your day.

Cat Den Reservations
Reservations in our Cat Den are required, both weekday and weekend. Walk-in reservations are allowed when space allows. Reservations are 45 minutes long and can be made by clicking the button below. Reservations don’t cost anything, but you must make a purchase in the coffee shop for each person entering the Den. (Groups of 5+ will be asked to pay a $5/person fee to hold the space and no further purchase is required.) You must be 15 YEARS OR OLDER to be in the Den on Monday-Friday. Saturdays and Sundays, ages 10+ are allowed with an adult. Young children are only allowed Saturday mornings from 7 am-9am.
We have three regular TV events in the Den!
Wednesdays, 7 pm- 8:45 pm: Adventure Time on the TV for ages 10 + with an adult.
Thursdays, 7 pm- 8:45 pm: X-Files on the TV.
Saturdays, 7 am- 9 am: Cats & Cartoons

So excited to have a new cat cafe in the twin cities! I made a reservation for the living room where the cats are, which was such a cute space. Keep in mind that the cats are able to come and go from the living room as they please, so you probably will not see them all. However I really liked that set up because I’m sure the cats are much more comfortable that way. I also liked that buying a drink counts as admission. Overall a great community space to drink some coffee, play some games, and see some cats!

What a magical cafe! The service and food are terrific. The cat area is spacious and comfortable. They clearly take great care of their kitties! The biography cards of the cats are hilarious, too. What a fantastic experience Catzen Coffee provides. First off, the coffee is excellent and served with a smile. The decor is sublime…every detail well thought out. Sitting in the cozy living room with fellow patrons and the cats is like a warm hug…. a peaceful escape from a sometimes harsh reality. So grateful for this little oasis!

Den Age Limits: Age 15+ allowed at all times. Ages 10-14 allowed Saturday and Sunday with an adult. Ages 0-9: allowed Saturday mornings from 7 am-9am.
